4 Festive Fourth of July Decor Ideas

1) For the minimalist.

Adding a few small flags in groupings of two or three is an easy and affordable way to bring some patriotic cheer into your home.  Coupling them to a preexisting floral arrangement or in a series of vases on your windowsill adds a pop of patriotism without bringing an overwhelming presence of holiday into your home. This image from Three Sons Farmhouse showcases the addition of flags to an everyday mantle setting.

2) For a pop of curb appeal.

Updating your front entrance is an excellent way to celebrate the Fourth without overhauling your interior. This can be done by lining a pathway with flags or simply updating your front door wreath to include some red, white & blue. On this home, patriotic bunting and a few flags add a huge presence of Old Glory flare.

3) For the grand host(ess).

Creating a tablescape is a fun and festive way to celebrate any holiday; it’s a great way to incorporate a holiday theme into your décor. Don’t be afraid to layer textures and incorporate the use of colorful foods in a non-traditional way like this setting by Liz Marie Blog. We love the use of vibrant red fruits such as strawberries or cherries at each place setting on a more neutral white and blue tablescape.

4) For the kids.

Incorporate items like balloons into your décor to provide a youthful vibe like this outdoor setting. The use of balloons hung to represent the American flag is a fun inexpensive DIY for the whole family.  Alternatively, kids decorating with red, white and blue streamers adds a festive Fourth of July touch to your home. Have the kids join you in making a banner for the mantle. You could also blow some balloons together to hang in as a representation of the United States Flag.

Happy Fourth of July

Whether you’re looking to keep it low-key with a few flags or throw a neighborhood BBQ with tables set to impress, we hope you enjoy your Fourth of July and party like it’s 1776!
