Junior Designer
Seattle Staged To Sell and Design is a growing and an award-winning boutique style staging and design company where every relationship (internally and externally) matters. We are a bunch of creative people and we are looking for our next talented designer to join our dynamic design team and help us to take us to the next level. Position Summary:
Assists with packing and unpacking of stages and destages, and assists onsite as needed with stages and de-stages as staging and styling assistant. Responsible for the oversight of the organization of all props and supplies in the prop warehouse. Liaises with prop coordinator to ensure supplies are stocked to support stages and destages. Maintains and organizes the prop inventory and follows systems and protocols. Shops for props and projects as needed when given direction by Senior Designer and Creative Director. This position has potential for growth within the role and the company.
Availability to work 3-5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work 25-40 hours per week, as available. 8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has previous experience in the design field and/or a relevant degree in design
- Ideally has experience in home staging, styling, and/or interior design
- A natural knack for design and styling
- Understands the importance of customer service
- Responsible and punctual
- Self-Starter
- Has a reliable source of transportation
- Has good written and verbal communication skills
- A team player and works well in group settings
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist Designers with staging installation and packing for stages
- Assist with destaging
- Collaborate with the design team to select & pull inventory for staging off shelves at warehouse and pack into boxes for transport
- Organization of the prop warehouse
- Assist with packing and unpacking stages
- Managing priority warehouse tasks assigned by Lead Crew Manager/Creative Director
- Occasional shopping trips when given direction by Creative Director or Senior Designers during peak busy season
- Occasional donation drop off
- Occasionally take photos of vacant homes for Senior Designers for planning purposes
- Potential to lead smaller stages post probationary period and training
- Reserve furniture for upcoming stages
- Create inventory prop list at stages when instructed
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school plus some advanced degrees are preferred
1 year of relevant experience is preferred
Knowledge of Design is a plus
